The faith connection

“And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.”

Still talking about the presence of God and the faith connection necessary to channel the power to effect a work in one’s life, let us examine another passage.

“And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him. And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,  And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.”

Here we see Jesus of whom the Scripture records, He was anointed with the Holy Ghost and power, being thronged by much people but there was no record of someone being healed of anything until this woman came into the picture. She got healed because she made the faith connection with the presence and power of God. How did she make the connection? It was all in what she did, hers were a series of actions. First, she said it, then she did what she said and the power of id the rest.

“And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?” Mark 5:30
“At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, "Who touched my clothes?"” NIV

What went out of Jesus? Power went out because she made the faith connection and she was made whole. And Jesus said to the woman, "Daughter, your faith has healed you…" Mark 5:34
You too can be made whole today! All things are possible to Him that believeth.
