TRAINING YOUR HEART

John 6:28-29 “Then said they unto him, what shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

Jesus answered and said unto them; believe on him whom He hath sent”.
We are continuing our thoughts on believing. Training our heart to believe after the pattern of the kingdom, that is, through things not seen. It is a work that we must take seriously if we are to succeed in life God’s way.

This is because our heart has been trained to believe God the world’s way – which is sense controlled. To train your heart to believe God’s way you must do the following things:

    1.    Have a knowledge of God’s word
    2.    Come into agreement with God’s word.
    3.    Accept God’s word as the final verdict on any matter
    4.    Walk in the light of the revelation that you have
    5.    Be quick to obey the word.
    6.    Be spirit controlled not body ruled or feelings heel

Train your heart to believe God and your life will reap great dividends.

THINGS THAT ARE NOT SEEN

John 6:28-29 “Then said they unto Him, what shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

Jesus answered and said unto them, this is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent”

Jesus is pointing out to us here that the most important work for the child of God is to believe. Believing is something that is assumed to be automatic to the child of God.

But then it is not, because in every situation you need to hear the word of God on that situation to be activated in that situation. There are two ways that a belief system is activated in someone:

    1.    According to John 20:24-29 – through your senses
    2.    According to 2 Pet 1:7-8,2 Cor 4:18 through things that are not seen

The one that brings forth blessing in the kingdom of God is the one that comes via things not seen.

    Confession:

I am a believer after the pattern of the kingdom of God. I am not ruled by what I see or hear but by the word of God.

YOUR THOUGHTS

Proverbs23:7 “For as he thinketh in his heart so is he… "

Your thought affects how you believe. What you think you are, you are. Therefore your faith level cannot rise above your thought level. Right thinking leads to right believing.

When the mind is empty, hopelessness is the result. Therefore to be able to think right thoughts that will enable you to believe rightly, fill your mind with thought about the word of God. Thoughts filled with God’s promises allows you to see God working with you, working for you and working in you.

So whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any praise, think on these things. (Ph.4:8)

Confession:

I have made covenant with my eyes that I will not look upon maid. I will think on things that build faith. I will think on the word of God. Thy word, God have I made my meditation all day long

THE MIRACULOUS

Proverbs 23: 18 ““For surely there is an end, and thine expectation shall not be cut off”.

In talking about living in Expectant faith these past two days. I believe the spirit of the Lord would want me to tell you to “Expect a miracle today” not tomorrow, not next week but today.

He wants you to expect miraculous things to happen for you immediately, suddenly and even now. He wants you to expect time to be hastened up for your sake.

He wants you to expect natural processes and protocols to be shortened, quickened and even by–passed because of you. He wants you to expect the impossible to be made possible for you today! Expect a miracle today!

Confession:

Today I anticipate the inevitable supernatural intervention of God in my life today!

LIVING IN EXPECTANT FAITH

Proverbs 23:18 “For surely there is an end, and thine expectation shall not be cut off”

We are shall looking at the subject “Living in Expectant Faith”. My Pastor said something a long time ago – he said the Spirit of God told him “Every time I (God) want to do something I have never done before, I (God) will initiate a moment or a time or a season for the individual.

Therefore you must be sensitive enough to realize your moment, your time to pick up that thing.” Someone living in expectant faith will always know when God has initiated something, because you are expectant, you will know and you will cooperate with it.

This is characteristic of someone living in expectant faith. Blind Bartimeus recognized the moment for his miracle when Jesus passed by and grabbed it.

Knowing your moment in the spirit is a key to you having a miracle turn around or change in your life. It hinges on being expectant.

Prayer:

I pray for you that your heart shall be sensitive in Jesus name. You will not miss your day of visitation in Jesus name

EXPECTANT FAITH

Proverbs 23:18 “For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off”

To expect is to look forward, to anticipate to consider probable or certain. It involves a high degree of certainty and usually involves the idea of preparing.

This is what should be attitude of people in faith. I am talking about living in expectant faith.

When you are expectant, it means you are certain of the outcome and so you are preparing for it just as a pregnant woman would be preparing for her baby by getting the baby things and preparing a room as nursery, and such likes.

Having the right expectation means half the battle is won. Expectation is what differentiates those who obtain their promises and those who don’t.
Be expectant! There is a miracle coming your way today.

Confession:

I am expectant, my faith will deliver. It will not be disappointed. I am the righteous and I shall not be disappointed. I am the righteous and I shall not be disappointed.

THE FAITH THAT OVERCOMES THE WORLD

1 John 5:4,5 “For whatsoever is born of God over cometh the world: and this is the victory that over cometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that over cometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the son of God”

There is a faith that overcomes the world. It is not human faith, it is not just any faith. It is a faith that is rooted in something. It is rooted in faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and it is rooted in God. In our text, it says whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world.

And it also says whosoever believeth that Jesus is the son of God overcometh. When you believe that Jesus is the son of God, you become born of God. The faith that got you born of God or born again is the same faith that enables you to overcome the world.

Therefore if you are not born again: it will be difficult for you to exercise a world overcoming faith because it is rooted in Jesus Christ.

Confession:

I believe that Jesus is the son of God, He died for my sins and He rose from the dead to declare me justified before God. I am now a child of God and I have a world over coming faith.
