THE EVIDENCE

Mark 11:24 “Mark 11:24 “Therefore what things soever ye desire when ye pray believe that you receive them and you shall have them”

We continue in our meditation of the above passage – looking at the prayer of faith. We have examined what we are to believe when we pray, but when to believe that we have received? When you have evidence of that thing which you desire. 

This is because faith must always have evidence. You cannot believe a thing, unless there is something you have seen which you can take as your evidence. In fact, you are under no obligation to believe when you have not being presented with an evidence. 

What then can stand as evidence for your desire? God’s promise to you among other things is enough evidence for your faith. Get evidence for desire out of God’s word and take that to Him in prayer.

Confession:

God is not a man that He should lie neither the son of man that He should repent. Has He said it and shall He not do it, has He spoken it shall He not make it good.

BELIEVE WHEN YOU PRAY

Mark 11:24 “Therefore what things soever ye desire when ye pray believe that you receive them and you shall have them”

There are different kinds of prayer and each of them operates under different circumstances and with different rules. Here I want to draw your attention to the prayer of faith. 

The prayer of faith is also called petition prayer where you pray for yourself concerning things that you desire. For it to work, understand the following things:

      1.     You believe when you pray that you have received the answer before you see the answer.

      2.     You are also to believe in the willingness of God to give you that which you desire. 

      And lastly you are to believe that you will receive that which you asked for, not something less.

Prayer:

As you have asked God today, so shall it be done unto you. May the desires of your heart be granted today in Jesus name.

FAITH IN THE NAME OF JESUS

Acts 3:16 “And His name through faith in His name hath made man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by Him hath given this perfect soundness in the presence of you all”

Faith in the name of Jesus! This is something that you have to develop. It is not automatic that you have faith in the name of Jesus. For your faith to be strong in the name you need to know that:

    

   1.    The name of a person is as good as that person. Jesus said where two or three are gathered in my name there am I. He is where His name is, therefore His name will do what His person can do.

    

    2.    What is the authority backing the name? Jesus is God in human flesh. Deity is the authority backing the name. This is why at the mention of the name every knee bows.

    

    3.    Do not use the name frivolously. For the name to be of value, you must revere the name.

Develop your faith in the name of Jesus today and demons will flee at your command.

Confession:

I have faith in the name of Jesus. I have been given the name, it is mine to use.

RIGTHEOUSNESS OF FAITH

Romans 10:6 “But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise…”

There is a righteousness of faith. What is it? Righteousness means right standing, therefore what I am saying is, there is a right – standing that comes of faith. This is different than the right standing that comes of faith. This is different than the right-standing that comes by the law. 

In Moses’ time, you obtain right-standing by what you do. But now, you obtain right – standing in two ways:

-      By believing

-      And by speaking

And in our text, it is telling us you don’t become right by speaking anyhow, by asking questions. Who will do this, who will make it happen? So what do you say to have right – standing that comes of faith?

“The word that saves is right here, as near as the heart in your chest. It’s the word that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us. This is the core of our preaching. Say the welcoming word to God – Jesus is my Master…” ( Rom10:8-10 Msg)

Confession:

I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I am what I am by the grace of God. I am a new creation in Christ Jesus, old things are passed away and all things are become new. I have right standing with God right now.

I AM A NEW SPECIE

2Cor. 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ He is a new creature, old thing are passed away, behold all things are become new”

Having a revelation of the new creation is something that also affects your faith walk. You are a new creation means you never existed before. You are more than a forgiven sinner, you a completely new species of being, therefore you have what it takes to make it. 

“…And what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! (MSG). If you do not see yourself as a new creation, but an old sinner you will not be able to walk in the faith of God. “The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death”. (Romans8:2)

Confession:

I am a new creation in Christ Jesus. I live by the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. Faith is not of the law and I have it therefore I live by faith
