Too many times the believer is waiting until his faith gets big before using it. The greatest thing you need to realize about faith is that it always moves something greater than its actual size.

We are still examining the fight of faith. Yesterday we saw that fight has to be in two places to be faith and that is where the fight of faith takes place.

Faith has to be in two places to be faith – your heart and your mouth. You use your heart to believe and your mouth to speak.

So that is where your faith fight takes place. It begins in your believing. To believe right you have to think right, this means

A measure of faith

Romans 4:16 “Therefore it is of faith that it might be by grace to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed”.

After God paid the price for man to be able to come near unto Him, He only put one condition for everybody – ‘faith’.

Mark 11:23 

“For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shalt not doubt in his heart, but shalt believe (in his heart) that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith”

The only place you are not allowed to have doubt is in your heart. This is because faith only works when you believe with the heart not with your head. 

Therefore if doubt is in your head but faith is in your heart you will still have whatsoever you say. How can doubt be in my head

There is a faith fight, without which you cannot lay hold on that which belongs to you.. It is a fight because the devil will not just lay on his back and watch you possess your inheritance.

Mathew 15:25,28 “ Then came she and worshipped Him, saying, Lord help me… Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt…”

When we worship, that is the highest expression of faith. This is because worship is all about who God is and not because of what He has done.

Mountains in your life are meant to be removed, not tolerated, not for climbing, to be removed.

Trophies of Faith

Mathew 16:8,9 “which Jesus perceived, He said unto them. O ye of little faith… do ye yet not understand, neither remember…”

One of the things that helps to strengthen faith when faced with adversity is when you remember your past faith victories – what I call trophies of faith.

The scriptures make it clear that the faith that cannot be hindered, restrained or limited is that which is expressed through love.

Romans 10: 17 “So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God”

Still studying this passage further, you notice it says faith cometh, by hearing and hearing…. It did not say faith cometh by having heard. This means that you have to keep your faith fresh.

I want you to see something from this scripture:

If the scripture says faith cometh, then it means faith was not present. But the scripture says, we all have been given a measure of faith (Rom12:3) and that we are saved by faith (Eph2:8). 

So how come you say faith is not present? You need to understand that the faith that cometh is referring to the faith needed in that

Hebrews 13:15 “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”

Do you know the phrase “giving thanks to his name” can also be rendered “confessing to his name”? That is what thanksgiving is, a confession!
