Walking with God

Hebrews 11:5,6
“By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

What we are doing is taking these heroes of faith and see what we can learn from them. From Enoch we see that to live a life of faith is to please God. Or let me put it in another way, faith makes you please God with your life. The Scriptures said of Enoch, he had a testimony before he was taken. I

Faith is expressed through giving

Heb 11:4
“By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.”

It is important to understand that living by faith does not mean anything goes. To be successful in your faith walk, the best is what you give to God. Whether it is your time, talents, or treasure, if it is not the best, it is nothing. Besides giving to God, it need be said also that faith does not excuse shoddy services.

That is you do not give shoddy services to people in the name of ‘you are looking to God and not to man’.  The text says Abel offered a more

My reins shall rejoice

Proverbs 23:16
“Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things.”
Proverbs 15:30
“The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat.”

The issue of confession cannot be overemphasized in teaching or talking about faith, that is, making sure that one is speaking the same thing God’s word is saying on any situation. Our verses for meditation today further underscore this. Here we see that it says even your body parts respond to words.

The word “reins” actually refer to internal

Faith is a title deed

Hebrews 11:1 (amp)
“NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

It says faith is a title deed. What is title deed. Now anyone who has ever purchased a property, would know what a title deed is. But let us see from the dictionary:
title deed •  a legal document constituting evidence of a right, especially to ownership of property.

That is, something that shows you a particular

Present your evidence

Hebrews 11:1
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
“NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

Let us return to our definition of evidence as “Something that shows that something exists or is true”. The Scripture said in the book of Acts that you and I are called to be witnesses. What does a witness do? He gives evidence. That means, as a witness you give something that shows that something exists or is true.

What is that which you give that shows something (in this case, your healing, blessing, breakthrough) exists? It is your faith. Now

Faith is the Evidence

Hebrews 11:1
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
“NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

Another thing we see faith being called is ‘EVIDENCE’. Now this is a very strong factor in the use of faith. I read from someone who said you have no business trying to exercise faith if you do not have evidence, why is this so and what is evidence? “Something which shows that something else exists or is true”. It is also

Faith is perfected by obedience

Romans 1:5
“By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for His name.”

Faith is perfected by obedience. To live by faith is to live life in perpetual obedience to God, His Word and His Spirit.

“Jesus was kind to me and chose me to be an

The life of faith

Romans 10:6&7
“But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, say not in thine heart, who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring up Christ down from above.) Or who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead)”

Faith does not always have all its questions answered. You cannot wait to have answers to all your questions before stepping out in faith. When God called Abraham, the scripture said he asked Abraham to step out to a land He will show him.

“By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. (Hebrews 11:8)

So stop waiting to have answers to all the questions, you will not have them.

Begin to do something with what you have now, and with what you know now. This is what the life of faith is all about. Remember, Faith is the evidence of things not seen. There will always the element of the unseen, unknown in your walk of faith.

Once you understand that, you will procrastinate less in the things God tells you to do. Step out now in Jesus name.

Confession: I step out now in the name of Jesus.

It did not make sense!

2Corinthians 5:7
“But we live by faith and not by sight.”

Faith does not make sense. If you wait for faith to make sense you will not take faith based actions. It did not make sense that God asked Moses to grab the snake by the tail. It did not make sense that God asked the

Potency of faith

Romans 14:23
“…for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.”

Do you know that what Satan is after when he comes with a temptation to sin is your faith? Or rather should I say the potency of your faith. Our scripture for today says whatsoever that is not of faith is sin.

This means that the root of sin is that I do not believe God’s word. Why did Eve eat of that tree in the book of Genesis? She believed

Words that creates things

Mar 11:22
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Faith in God ultimately is expressed through your words. When you are with someone for five minutes you can tell where they are in faith. When you add verses 23 and 24 to our text it shows us that these words

I choose to be strong

Mar 11:23
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Doubt is something that attempts to plague everyone that lives by faith. Have you heard this saying, “feed your faith and starve your

The Righteousness of God

Romans 1:17
“…For therein the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith”

What reveals the righteousness of God? The earlier verse says it is the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Now Matthew 6:33 says "seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness."

What is the righteousness of God? Let us look at the Amplified Bible to help us answer that: “But seek(aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness(His way of doing and being right)…” So God’s

Strong faith

Romans 4:20
“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.”

One more thought on what will enable your faith to remain strong. Let us go back to our text. From our text above, we realize PRAISE also will make a man’s faith strong. Let us examine our text in the amplified translation of

Understanding Grace

Romans 4:20
“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.”

There is something else that will make your faith strong, it is understanding grace. I heard Kenneth Copeland say that God defined grace to him as His (God) overwhelming desire to deal with man as though sin has

Righteousness and faith

Romans 4:20
“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.”

We are still meditating on strong faith. What are the things that enable strong faith? I believe that being righteousness conscious on the inside will strengthen your faith. Sin consciousness does not strengthen faith. When

Faith is strengthened by love

Romans 4:20
“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.”

We are considering ingredients of strong faith or how do I know I possess strong faith? The first is to be strong in the word. The second is to be strong in love. Not walking in love actually weakens faith. “For in Jesus Christ

How to be strong in faith

Romans 4:20
“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.”

How do you measure that your faith is strong. Or let me ask it in another way. How do you know that you are strong in faith? The very first evidence that you are strong in faith is that you are strong in the word.

Notice the scripture says that Abraham was fully persuaded about the promise. You cannot have strong faith without being strong in the word of God. You cannot pray yourself to be strong neither can you

Tenacity of Faith

Mark 11:24
“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them.”

There is something about the bulldog, that when it holds unto something it does not let go easily. So, you hear talk about having a bulldog faith, that is, a faith that is as tenacious as a bulldog. This is one more

The boldness of faith

Mark 11:24
“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them.”

Let us continue our meditation on the above passage. There is something else that I see. It is the boldness of faith. Yesterday, I said faith has to take initiative, it means also you have to be bold.

So there is something called the boldness of faith, without it you will not step out and take initiatives. It took boldness for the

Faith takes initiative

Mark 11:24
“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them.”

Faith takes initiative. A lot of times believers say that they are waiting on God before going after something or believing for something but I see something in our verse for meditation that puts the ball back in your court. It is in the word “you” or “ye”. In that single verse it appears five times.

Jesus is speaking to you pointedly, “what
