Walking with God

Hebrews 11:5,6
“By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

What we are doing is taking these heroes of faith and see what we can learn from them. From Enoch we see that to live a life of faith is to please God. Or let me put it in another way, faith makes you please God with your life. The Scriptures said of Enoch, he had a testimony before he was taken. I
could write that portion this way: “for before his translation ‘it was reported of him’ that he pleased God”. That is he was an evidence himself, he was a living proof. Now, what was reported of him? What was he a living proof of?

Genesis 5:21-24
And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:
And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:
And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.”

This is what was reported of him: He walked with God. Faith means walking with God, being in step with God. To walk with God, you must allow God to lead you. You cannot be doing your own thing, go where you want to go, do what you want to do and expect your faith to work. Faith works best when you are where God wants you to be doing what He has sent you to do. If Enoch could do it, you could do it also. I want you to notice, Enoch was not always walking with God, he started after he had Methuselah.\

And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:
And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.”

You too decide today and walk with God. Your faith will begin to thrive like never before.

CONFESSION: IF ENOCH CAN WALK WITH GOD AND PLEASE HIM, I CAN ALSO WALK WITH GOD.
