Philippians
“2:16 “Holding forth the word of life…” “holding out [to it] and offering [to
all men] the word of life…” (Amp).
The
scriptures says you are to let your light shine for men to see. What is the
light of the believer that this world needs to see?
Mark4:20,21
reveals that a life that the word is yielding fruit by the word can be likened
to a candle that is lit and put on a candle stick so that it gives light.
The
context of our scripture for meditation also reveals that it is by holding
forth the word of life that an individual will shine like a star in a crooked
and perverse generation.
What
is the implication of this to you as a believer?
It
means, even though you go to church and are born again, if you are not a doer
of the word of God, if the word is not yielding fruit in your life, there is no
light that you are giving out.
Confession:
I am a candle that is lit, and my light is
burning bright because the word is working in my life.
