Forgiveness

Mark 11:25-27
“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and  let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings.” AMP

Since we are talking about love, let us also pay attention to something that is a necessity in this love walk – forgiveness. The reason for this is because while some are celebrating love, some are remembering again a relationship that didn’t work out, a heart break, etc.

We have to understand that people  in relationships will hurt one another and the same thing applies to married people, more so
married people. Therefore we must decide that we will forgive, for unforgiveness is a great hindrance to the free flow of love between two people.

I believe for people to forgive easily, they must have faith that it pays much more to forgive than not to. If people believe this, people will be more eager to forgive rather than hold on to a hurt or offence for as long as they can. So faith is needed if we are going to walk in forgiveness.

Married couples have to consistently forgive one another so that their love for each other will continually be renewed. Unresolved issues and bottled up hurts will turn the water that flows from the fountain of your love into bitter water, the consequences of which will be anything but pleasant. Believe and obey the Lord concerning forgiveness and watch God bless you today.
