“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love, 1 John 4:7-8
If you have love, love has no choice but to flow out of you. What you are is what will flow out of you. Having faith in God means Having faith in His love because God is love, God doesn’t have love, God is love.
What does it mean to have faith in love?
“And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world”. 1 John 4:16-17
If you have faith in Him, you will have confidence in the day
of judgment. In the present, that means I can have confidence in the day it looks as if I am being judged when things look like I am being tried or put on the witness stand as it where by the enemy. Why will I have confidence? The Bible says in SOS 2:4 “He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love. …his banner over me is a protecting and comforting one(amp.) ‘He protects me in the day of judgment, punishment, persecution, trials -I have confidence I will be protected because God loves me’.
1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love”. Fear is a lack of faith in God, once you have fear, you do not have faith in love. Having faith in God is having faith in love – that He loves you with love that will never end. Jer. 31:3(MSG.) When you understand that your life was planned in His love you should expect your life will turn out right. He didn't plan your life in anger.
Isaiah 54:8 “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper…” The root of this verse comes from the Love of God … the earth may cease to be, God’s love and kindness will never depart from you. What is not from God cannot function against you. Why? Because He loves you and His love shall not depart from you forever. When a weapon of mass destruction is made, it is to destroy but God says even though its purpose is to destroy no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
Now you can understand why a lion that could tear anyone to pieces would see a servant of God and loose his purpose because God loves that person; that is what having faith in His love can do. You do not have to be perfect before these things work, all you need to understand is that you are loved.
