Have faith in God Part 5

“In the beginning was the Word , and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made.

In him was life, and the life was the light of men” John1:1-4

When you say ‘Have faith in God’ – you are saying ‘Have faith in His words’. Why? Because faith in God is telling you to have faith in His words. When God speaks His word it is His spirit that is releasing it to people, So, If you say you believe in God, but treats His word shabbily or with a nonchalant attitude
or your faith in God is different from your faith in His word you still do not know God. You don’t have to see anything before you take Him at His words.

Psalm 138:2 “..for thou hast multiplied thy word above thy name”. Here, God is telling you His name is as good as His word and His word is as good as His name. If all you have is His word you can take your life to it. If God said something to you but contrary circumstances are still bombarding you left, right and centre; hold on to His word.

To Peter in Matthew 14, it was Jesus’ word that verified or established His identity, not His work. Having faith in God is having faith in His word, if you cannot be persuaded by His word you cannot be persuaded by a vision. Many people get into trouble because they have exalted visions above His words so they are liable to error.

Stop asking the Lord “When will you come down and help me? “The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth.” You have all you need when you have faith in His word and; you don’t need any extraneous thing for your faith in God to become strong – It should not become the norm of your life that you cannot believe God except you take oil or put mantle either in your house or your car.

As for the Centurion in Matt 8:5-8; the word only is enough for you-to give you the quality of life you desire. In John 6:28,29 the disciple asked “What shall we do that we might work the works of God?” Jesus did not say ‘Work’ … He said “…believe on Him…”  there is a work to do, it is to believe.

The scriptures say faith cometh by hearing that means if you do not hear the word and you say ‘I believe’ from now till eternity, you cannot have  faith. The time you spend to hear God’s word is never a waste. Heaven and earth will pass away but a tittle of His word will not pass away unfulfilled.

Heb 6 :14-18 amp.”God desiring to prove the un-exchangeability of His promise and purpose for you swore an oath for your benefit. God is saying ‘have my word preserved in you, I have not given up on you. Have Faith in My word’.
