Walking in Victory

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God,… But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering…”

Let us take another look at the faith and wisdom connection in walking in victory. It is said that faith begins where the will of God is known. Another word for knowing the will of God is wisdom.

There are instances where God’s will is expressly written in the word of God and there are instances where they are not clearly spelt out. The context of our text is clearly one of such. In the midst of trials and
temptations, the first thing to do before trying to exercise your faith is to find out the wisdom of God for getting out of that situation.

After discerning God’s wisdom, then apply faith to bring you out. Many of God’s people need to understand this order, especially if you have done the usual things you normally do in a situation and there seems to be no breakthrough. Ask for God’s specific wisdom, then apply faith on it.

Confession:
I am a child of God. I am His sheep and I know His voice, I have His wisdom.

Prayer:

May your heart be flooded with God’s wisdom now in Jesus name.
