Thanksgiving – The Last Lap of your Faith

When athletes are at the last lap of the marathon where they could see the finishing line but they seemingly seem to be at the end of themselves they reach deep down for that second wind.

Thanksgiving gives that second wind as the last lap of the faith walk. When you add thanksgiving to your faith walk it gives you the second wind- that new energy; that new spring to your walk. “…but he (Abraham) grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God.” Romans 4:20(amp)

Abraham had a second wind in his faith walk. Somebody
may say the Bible didn’t say he gave thanks but said he gave praise and glory. The bible in Heb. 13:15 ‘Through him , therefore , let us constantly and at all times offer to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name”.

We see the scriptures above that a sacrifice of praise is equal to giving thanks to God , making a confession to His name. So you never loose in giving thanks. Whether you are giving thanks before or after manifestation you never loose. Your faith is strengthened because confession is being made to God’s name, this is why God always asks us to end every petition or prayer with thanksgiving. He is strengthening you and getting you to confess manifestation continually. Thanksgiving is a confession you are making .

He demonstrated it with the children of Israel at the wall of Jericho. They were to go round the wall once a day for six days not saying anything, but on the seventh day they compassed the wall seven times and when they shouted unto God, the walls came down (Joshua 6:1-5).

When you understand this about thanksgiving, you are not mindful to do it at any given opportunity. This is because thanks giving will always deliver.

So roll out the drums, the tambourines and come with your gifts, your dances and give God thanks. For He is good and his mercies endure forever.
