Jeremiah 17:7
“[Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and
relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is.” AMP
We have been studying trust or trustfulness as an expression
of the fruit of faith. Let us look at one more day because the Scriptures say a
man who can trust the Lord is most blessed and I believe you want to be that
person. Some more things to know about trust:
1.
Trust is a learned response. This means you
trust as a result of what you learned by experience. That is, in your dealings
with someone, you will only trust if you have found the person to be
trustworthy. Your experience of God will affect your ability to trust Him.
Ps 9:10
“And they who know Your name [who have
experience and acquaintance with Your mercy] will lean on and confidently put
their trust in You…” AMP
2.
Trust grows by feeding on God’s word.
Ps 18:30
“As for God, His way is perfect! The word
of the Lord is tested and tried; He is a shield to all those who take refuge
and put their trust in Him.” AMP
3.
Trust is
commitment.
Psalms 37:5
“Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose
each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also
in Him and He will bring it to pass.” AMP
Psalms 20:7
“Some trust in and boast of chariots and some of horses, but
we will trust in and boast of the name of the Lord our God.” AMP
Put your trust in God today and you will be most blessed.
