How a prophetic word word comes

2 Peter 1:19

“And we have the prophetic word [made] firmer still. You will do well to pay close attention to it as to a lamp shining in a dismal (squalid and dark) place, until the day breaks through [the gloom] and the Morning Star rises ( comes into being) in your hearts.” AMP

Today, let us talk about how  a prophetic word or rhema word comes. Interestingly, what you do when it comes that we discussed yesterday also is one of the ways you can receive a prophetic word.

1.      a prophetic word can come to you as you meditate upon God’s word. This is the most common way that is open to every believer. Therefore when you are in a situation and you need God to speak to you, go to the word yourself and meditate.

2.     A prophetic word can come to you as confess God’s word to yourself.

3.     A prophetic word can come tgo you as listen to the word being preached.

4.     A prophetic word can come to you as pray in the Holy Spirit, that is, as you pray in  tongues and interpret.

5.     A prophetic word can come to you through the gifts of the Spirit, particularly, the word of wisdom, word of knowledge, word of prophecy, tongues and interpretation coming through a man of God.

6.     A prophetic word can come to you through the still small voice on the inside.

7.     A prophetic word can come to you through visions and dreams.
