Heb 11:11
“Through faith also Sara herself received
strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age,
because she judged him faithful who had promised.”
Faith does not deny things; it only judges
what to side with. Some people think when we teach faith we are telling people
to deny things or turn a blind eye to things. No, you live by faith with your
eyes wide open.
Not only your eyes, but all your physical
senses intact, and you will see your empty bank account; feel the symptoms and
the pressure of the circumstances. What faith does is
that you look at all those on one hand and then look at the promises of God and
make a choice which one you want to side in with.
So, to live by faith you make judgments
all the time. This is what Sarah had to do. She looked at body that was now way
past child-bearing age and looked at the promises of God and the God of the
promise and judged that she would align herself with God. Abraham did the same:
“And being not weak in faith, he
considered not his own body now dead, when he was about a hundred years old,
neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb…” (Romans 4:19)
I say to you again, faith does not deny the
reality of things, it just deny them the right to exist in your life by judging
the promise of God to be more worthy of your trust than the pressure of the
circumstances.
CONFESSION: I AM NOT MOVED BY WHAT I SEE
OR FEEL; I AM MOVED ONLY BY THE WORD OF GOD. AND I BELIEVE IT SHALL BE UNTO ME
AS IT IS WRITTEN.
