THE EYES OF YOUR UNDERSTANDING

Ephesians 1:16-19

“Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.”

In my experience, I have come to realize that it is a possibility to be a Christian and be far from living by faith. It takes revelation from God for one to see the difference. Therefore for today, I will like you to pray the above prayers for yourself for the next one month, this is the first of what is called the Pauline prayers.

A part of it says, that the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of God’s calling and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints and what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who BELIEVE. (emphasis mine)

When your eyes are opened to the greatness of God’s power exercised in the favour of those who believe, will it be difficult for you to believe God? I guess no is your answer. Well I found this out by experience because I prayed this prayer when I read after Pa Hagin and he advised that one should.

The enlightenment that came and awareness to the word of faith made it look like I got saved all over again.
