2Co
4:18
“While
we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen:
for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen
are eternal.”
For
you to live by faith successfully you must be able to see what others are not
seeing. This is because faith sees the invisible and you must learn the art of
seeing the invisible. Do you realize that the reason why the Apostle Paul said
even though the outward man was perishing, they did not faint, was because they
could see what others were not seeing. They could see the invisible.
There
is a story in 2Kings 6:15-17:
“And
when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an
host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said
unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
And he answered, Fear not: for they that be
with us are more than they that be with them.
And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray
thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young
man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of
fire round about Elisha.”
When
did those chariots fire come to be? Was it when Elisha’s servant’s eyes were
opened? No. Elisha knew they were there because Psalm 34:7 says that the angels
of the Lord encamp round about them that fear the Lord. So with his eye of
faith he could see them.
That
was why he said they that be for him were more than they that be against him,
he could see the invisible! Faith sees the invisible!
CONFESSION:
Faith sees the invisible. I am a person of faith and I can see the invisible.
