Hebrews 11:33 “Who through faith subdued
kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouth of
lions”.
Let
us pursue this thought further. How do you use your faith to work
righteousness?
Romans 6:11 “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves
to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Remember
2 Pet. 1:3 says you have been given promises
for life or living and godliness. This means as there are promises that
grant you good health, prosperity and breakthroughs, so also there are promises
that enable victory over sin, holiness and such like. Therefore, if you are
having problems with sin in your life, you appropriate promises like Romans
6:11. It says “reckon”, which
means that you should count yourself dead to that sin – how? By faith! That
means you keep believing and saying that you are dead to that sin even when it
seems you are in the grip of it. And before you know it, you are walking free.
Confession/Prayer:
I am dead to sin in Jesus name but alive
unto God.
