Matt. 17:20 “And Jesus said unto them… if ye have
faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence
to yonder place; and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you”
I
can hear someone say “Man of God you just contradicted yourself with this
passage when compared to our meditation yesterday”.
No
I did not. I brought this to your attention to
understand that, whatever the measure of your faith, you can field it against
any situation in your life and expect to see result. Now here is the
balance.
Wherein
someone else who has been used to using his faith may have that mountain move
immediately, you that have not been using your measure may have to take longer
time before the mountain moves. Why is this so?
Let us see what Jesus said concerning the
mustard seed somewhere else:
Mark 4:30-32
“And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the
kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? It is like a grain
of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the
seeds that be in the earth:
But when it is sown, it groweth up, and
becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the
fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.”
KJV
So with that mustard seed like faith, when
you speak to the mountain, it is like planting your seed into that mountain. If
you do not give up and keep speaking to it, your mustard seed will grow and
become greater than the mountain and move that mountain. Glory to God.
Confession/Prayer:
Dear
Lord help me to consistently speak to my mountain until I see it move in Jesus’
name.
