John
6:28-29 “Then said they unto Him, what shall we do, that we might work the
works of God?
Jesus
answered and said unto them, this is the work of God, that ye believe on Him
whom He hath sent”
Jesus
is pointing out to us here that the most important work for the child of God is
to believe. Believing is something that is
assumed to be automatic to the child of God.
But
then it is not, because in every situation you need to hear the word of God on
that situation to be activated in that situation. There are two ways that a
belief system is activated in someone:
1. According to John 20:24-29 – through your
senses
2. According to 2 Pet 1:7-8,2 Cor 4:18 through things
that are not seen
The one that brings forth blessing in the kingdom of God is the one that
comes via things not seen.
Confession:
I
am a believer after the pattern of the kingdom of God. I am not ruled by what I
see or hear but by the word of God.
