Gal 5:22-23
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy,
peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance:
against such there is no law.”
One of the things you see in this text is
that faith is a fruit of the Spirit. This tells you that it is something that
can grow and that grows. This means whatever level of faith you are at right
now, there is opportunity for it to grow and increase.
Out of what do you get fruit? Out of a seed that is planted.
What is the seed? The seed is the word of
God. When you plant the word of God in your heart, the fruit you get out of it
is faith toward God. This means if you are in a place where you feel faith is
absent concerning a particular situation, then take the seed of the word of God
and plant it in your heart and faith will grow in your heart in that particular
area.
For instance, if you have been used to
exercising faith to be healed of minor ailments and then you got diagnosed with
something much more serious, and you feel you are incapable of believing for
your healing, don’t despair. Take time to plant more of God’s word into your
heart regarding healing, this is like planting healing seeds into your heart.
This will make the fruit of faith for healing to come forth which can resist
this attack of the devil on your body.
