Heb 11:5
“By faith Enoch was taken from this life,
so that he did not experience death…”
To live by faith is to live a supernatural
and sometimes spectacular life. This means, it is to live a life above the
ordinary, an exceptional life. Our scripture for meditation says by faith Enoch
did not experience death, now you will agree with me that is supernatural,
above ordinary experience.
This is because death is something that everyone
is meant to pass through or experience, that is, death is a natural experience
awaiting everyone. But someone bypassed it by walking by faith. But I can hear
someone saying, that is not for everyone.
Firstly, I want you to focus on how he
overcame it; the scriptures say by faith. Is faith available to every one of
us? The answer of course is yes. God has given everyone of us the measure of
faith, the Bible says. Then I want you to see death in the context of something
natural which by faith you can escape. Also Jesus said, “whosoever liveth and
believeth in me shall never die. Believeth thou this? (John 11:26)
Jesus is the one asking you, “believeth
thou this?”, not me. What would your answer be?
