Wisdom of God

James 1:2-6

“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.”
There is an understanding that I want you to have especially if you have been battling a particular issue in your life for a long time. It is that added to remaining steadfast and strong in your faith you also need the wisdom of God in other to be victorious.
In fact you need the working together of four
things, faith, wisdom, patience and joy. As we have looked at using joy to strengthen your faith yesterday, let us concentrate on faith and wisdom today.
When you have done all you know to do in a situation, and it looks like the situation still remains unchanged, then you need the wisdom of God. In this case, I mean insight not the application of knowledge. You need God to give you insight into the situation and so that if you need to take a different approach you would know.
What would make Jesus apply mud on one blind man’s eye and then tell him to go and wash in a pool, then tell another simply to receive his sight? It is operating according to the wisdom of God. In living by faith you must have this understanding, that there is a place for the wisdom of God.
