Eph 6:16
“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye
shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked”
Faith is the defence and guard of every other
Christian virtue. The word faith is from a Greek word “pistis” and it is from a
root word
that means “persuasion”, that is a moral conviction of the
truthfulness of God.
Hebrew says faith is the conviction of an unseen reality.
And faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Taking the shield of
faith is nothing more than hearing the word until faith rises up like a shield
around you to prevent those arrows of the enemy from penetrating and bringing
you down.
Note this, if you do take up your shield you will be
able quench all, not some but all fiery darts of the wicked. So take up your
shield now!
Confession:
My shield of faith is in place and it is intact.
Therefore I shall not suffer any casualty or injury. No weapon formed against
me shall prosper!
