Hebrews
11:5 “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not
found, because God translated him: for before his translation he had this
testimony, that he pleased God”
We
are continuing our meditation on yesterday’s passage. Notice in our text “… for
before his translation (change) he had this testimony that he pleased God.”
This
means before the change came, he pleased God. He did not wait to see change
before pleasing God. He pleased God not because he wanted the experience that
came; he just wanted to please God.
The
faith that changes your world is a faith that is ready to stand even if it
looks like change will not happen. That was the kind of faith displayed by
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.
The
faith that knows what God can do but serve Him whether He does them or not.
This is the kind of faith God is calling for, which is in you already.
Confession:
The
God whom I serve is well able to deliver me and I am persuaded that He will!
Prayer:
Lord
not my will but thine be done in my life today.
