OVERCOMING FORCE

“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” Ephesians 6:16

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” 1Peter 5:8&9

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7

Faith is an overcoming force and there is nothing or no one that can stand in faith’s way. When you look the passage in Ephesians, understand that it is referring to the devil because we have been told in earlier verses that we wrestle against principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places.

But against all these, the scripture says when you have your faith intact, you can quench ALL the fiery darts of the wicked. Faith is given you to overcome hindrances of satan of whatever form in your life. The testimony of the Scriptures is that when you resist the devil he will flee, when you put on your shield of faith you will quench all his fiery darts, but the key is “…resist (him) being steadfast in the faith…” 

This is where people miss it because it is taking too long they say. But the Scripture never said resist him for one, two or ten years and then he will flee, it just said resist and he will flee. I need to tell you this because sometimes people ignore the devil and it is to their peril for the scripture does not ignore him and neither are we told in told to ignore him also. 

The life of faith will overcome every hindrance of the devil no matter how complex and long it is.
