We are continuing our thoughts on believing. Training our heart to believe after the pattern of the kingdom, that is, through things not seen. It is a work that we must take seriously if we are to succeed in life God’s way.

Your thought affects how you believe. What you think you are, you are. Therefore your faith level cannot rise above your thought level. Right thinking leads to right believing.

When the mind is empty, hopelessness is the result. Therefore to be able to think right thoughts that will enable you to believe

To expect is to look forward, to anticipate to consider probable or certain. It involves a high degree of certainty and usually involves the idea of preparing.

The faith that overcomes the world

1 John 5:4,5 “For whatsoever is born of God over cometh the world: and this is the victory that over cometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that over cometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the son of God”

There is a faith that overcomes the world. It is not human faith, it is not just any faith. It is a faith that is rooted in something. It is rooted in faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and it is rooted in God. In our text, it says

When is it of faith?

Roms 4:16 “Therefore it is of faith that might be by grace…”

How do you know when something is of faith? That is when your step is of faith.

1. When you expectation is according to that which was spoken

2. When you have hope on hopeless

Total complete faith

Gen. 15:1 “After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying. Fear not Abram, I am your shield, your abundant compensation, and your reward shall be exceedingly great”

Our faith in God must be a total complete faith, out faith in God must also be in the totality of God. We cannot have faith in one area and not have faith in Him in another area.

How does faith come?

Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God”

 How does faith come? By hearing the word of God. Some people think faith comes by hearing other people’s testimonies. 

But the scripture did not say faith comes by hearing

Deut. 7:9 “Know therefore that the Lord thy God, He is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love Him and keep His commandments to a thousand generations”

To “translate” means to remove or change from one place, state, form or appearance to another.

I believe that God is enabling man to exercise his faith so that man can change his world. This means anything that is within his area of influence or in his ‘world’ or anything that has to do with man’s sojourn here on earth. In our

2 Cor. 4:18 “While we look not at the things which are not seen but at the things which are seen but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal”

We are still studying out the word “temporal”.

The dictionary says of relating to time as opposed to eternity. This means what is temporal has a time limit, or it is going to be

It is subject to change

2 Cor. 4:18  “While we look not at the things which are not seen but at the things which are seen but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal”

“Temporal” means it is subject to change. If it can be perceived by the five senses, then it is not permanent. 

Nothing is permanent, nothing is final. The only final thing, the only permanent thing is the word of the living God. Therefore

Speak Now!

Ezekiel 37:3, 4 “And He said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest. Again He said unto me, prophesy upon these bones, hear the word of the Lord…”

Friend I want you to hear this loud

Habakkuk 2:1 “I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what He will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved”

One of the reasons why you should speak is so that you see things. Your words paint pictures for you to see. You will not

The just shall live by faith

Romans 1:17 “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, as it is written the just shall live by faith”

Friend, the just shall live by faith is a statement of fact. It is not debatable. You as a just person, that is, someone who has expressed faith in Lord Jesus Christ to forgive you of your sins has no other way to live but

Faith in the name of Jesus!

Acts 3:16 “And His name through faith in His name hath made man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by Him hath given this perfect soundness in the presence of you all”

Faith in the name of Jesus! This is something that you have to develop. It is not automatic that you have faith in the name of Jesus. For your faith to be strong in the name you need to know that:

    

   1.    The name of a person is as good as that

The word of faith

Romans 10:8 “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is the word of faith, which we preach”

The Bible is called the Word of faith. What does it mean? Is it important that it is called that? Yes, it is important to you that it is called that because of two questions Paul asked the Galatians Saints:

1.    “…Received ye the spirit by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith?

2.    He therefore that ministereth to you the spirit, and worketh miracle among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? (Gal.3:2,5)

It is important because when you hear the word of God preached or taught, what do you hear? Works of the law or faith? It is the hearing of faith that will bring you salvation, deliverance, healing, soundness of mind and wrought miracles for you. 

Make sure that is what you are exposed to the WORD OF FAITH; not doubt and unbelief or the law. Your miracle is in the hearing of faith from the word of faith!
